I remember when that proof came out. Apparently it was controversial because it involved some math that wouldn't have been available in Fermat's time. I don't know if the proof has been generally accepted by now or not. Anyway, I just remember Joe commenting that there was still the possibility of someone writing a "real" proof. But I'm not at all versed in this stuff, so who knows?
